Drop-In Hours

To accommodate as many students as possible when conferences are in highest demand, Writing Fellows offer drop-in hours around midterms and finals each semester.  Like any other appointment in the Writing Center, students are welcome to come at any stage in the writing process.  You can come with an introduction, an outline, a quote, a web, a few notes, a full draft, or just yourself.

For the first time ever, this Spring (2018), Writing Fellows will be offering weekly drop-in hours, every Monday from 7-8 PM and 8-9 PM, in the first floor of the Diana Center. Look for the table with the blue Writing Center sign on it.

We will also be offering midterms drop-in hours from Monday, February 26th through Sunday, March 4th:

Monday, 2/26 from 3-4 PM; with Ana Lam

Tuesday, 2/27 from 10-11 AM; with Madison Lichak

from 11AM-12 PM; with Lauren McGary

Wednesday 2/28 from 3-4 PM; with Gabrielle Messner

from 5-6 PM; with Sylvia Korman

Thursday 3/1 from 11AM-12 PM; with Charlotte Rauner

from 12-1 PM; with Tina Shan

Friday 3/2 from 1-2 PM; with Lily Kane

from 3-4 PM; with Claire Burghard

from 4-5 PM; with Vyoma Sahani

Saturday 3/3 from 9-10 AM; with Samantha Ong

Sunday 3/4 from 4-5 PM; with Vyoma Sahani

Please note that while no appointment is necessary for drop-in hours, students are conferenced on a first-come, first-serve basis.  When you arrive, you will wait on the green couches on the south end of Barnard Hall 2nd Floor after signing your name on the drop-in sheet for the relevant hour. If there are 3-4 other folks on the list before you, then the Writing Fellow will likely not be able to help you during that particular drop-in hour. In that case, please consult the drop-in schedule above or on our scheduler to see if there are other hours you can attend.

Email klasell@barnard.edu if you have any questions about drop-in hours.
