Karen Magnusdottir McComish '23
Major: Sociology & Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies with a concentration in Technology and Science
Minor: Environmental Science
My favorite part of working in the Writing Center is seeing how my fellow barnard students respond to the same text/prompt in different and brilliant ways, collaborating through the writing process, and being a part of the writing center community <3
Stephanie Secaira '22
Major: English
Pre-med track
My favorite thing about fellowing is providing a space where my peers feel comfortable and confident to share their writing. I also enjoy meeting new people and learning about them and their writing pieces!
Kylie Tangonan '23
Major: Medical Anthropology
My favorite thing about fellowing is meeting students from all disciplines and having engaging conversations about their work, their interests, and their writing process
Ainsley Walker '23
Major: Biology and Sociology
My favorite part of fellowing is being able to talk through a writer's work in a way that promotes the writer's voice. I love that the writing center is a place where writers are encouraged to use their own voice and not worry about being "traditional". I especially find it rewarding to work through concerns that I had when coming to Barnard because if I could eventually feel confident in my writing, so could anyone with their own.
Jasmine Wang '23
Major: Biochemistry
I love connecting with my peers and engaging with all of their thoughtful and interesting ideas.
